Veteran Malayalam film actor Jagathy Sreekumar, who is being treated at a private hospital after his March 10 accident, will not be shifted to CMChospital, Vellore as he has slight fever, doctors said.
The plan was to shift Sreekumar in an air-ambulance from nearby Karippur International Airport, but that has beenpostponed as he is down with fever, sources at Malabar Institute of Medical Sciences (MIMS) hospital said.
Sreekumar will be kept under observation for the next two days.
A three-member doctors' team from CMC had assessed the actor's condition some days back and also expressed theirsatisfaction over his recovery.
Sreekumar was seriously injured when the car in which he was travelling to Kodagu in Karnataka for shooting Malayalamfilm Idavapathy slammed into a road median and overturned at nearby Tenhippalam in Malappuram district on March 10 and hasundergone various surgeries.
Leader of the Opposition V S Achuthanandan visited the actor and also met his relatives.
