Actress Priyanka Chopra's Jai Gangaajal has been declared tax-free in Madhya Pradesh.
Filmmaker Prakash Jha, who made his acting debut with the film, confirmed the news to IANS via a text message.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan's official Twitter page mentioned that the films Neerja and Jai Gangaajal have been declared tax free in the state. (Also Read: Sonam Kapoor's Neerja Made Tax-Free in Maharashtra)
"Films promoting women empowerment, Neerja and Jai Gangaajal declared tax free in the state, on the directives of CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan," read a tweet from the Chief Minister's Office on Thursday.
Mr Jha, who was lauded by the audience for his acting skill in the film, said that he is "grateful" to the chief minister and the state.
Jai Gangaajal released on March 4.
