Actor Jake Gyllenhaal issurprised that he is being considered as one of the leadingmen of Hollywood in league of Tom Cruise and Nicholas Cage.
The Brokeback Mountain star is amazed that he isregarded as a star and offered lead roles in movies,Contactmusic reported.
"I don't see myself like a leading man at all. That'svery result-oriented. I've been like that at different timesin my career, but at this point I'm not. I think people lookat me like that bit, but I don't."
"I've been the lead in lots of different movies butit's never been about that. At some event for Prince OfPersia Tom Cruise and Nicolas Cage were present. And there Iwas standing with them thinking 'What the hell am I doinghere?'" said the 29-year-old actor.
Gyllenhaal also insisted that he likes to tackle awide variety of characters in his movies because of the advicegiven by his father many years ago.
"My dad always says to me that the job of any artistis to disturb the comfortable and to comfort the disturbed,"he added.
