Atonement star James McAvoy beamedwith pride as he carried the Olympic torch through his nativeScotland.
The 33-year-old actor ran with the famed flame in Glasgowand was watched by hundreds of locals who had lined the routefor the event ahead of the London 2012 Games this summer,reported BBC online.
"The fact that they do something like this and they visitevery town and they visit all the different places andeverybody can get involved and really feel like its personalto them, I think makes it really special so I'm reallyhonoured to be involved," he said.
Rapper Will.i.am, musicians Muse and Melanie Chisholm andactor Matt Smith are among the stars who have also carried theOlympic torch as part of its 70-day journey around the UK.
