New Delhi:

If Shah Rukh Khan can't, nobody can. The list of superlatives for his film Jawan increases by the day, just like its box office business. Jawan made over Rs 20 crore on Thursday, reported trade analyst Taran Adarsh, calling the film a "record smasher" doing "unimaginable business from East to West and from North to South." The Hindi version of the film is at over Rs 347 crore nett at the domestic box office with the Tamil and Telugu versions contributing another Rs 43 crore.

"Jawan is a record-smasher. Unimaginable biz from East to West and from North to South. Historic trending. Thursday 65.50 cr, Friday 46.23 cr, Saturday 68.72 cr, Sunday 71.63 cr, Monday 30.50 cr, Tuesday 24 cr, Wednesday 21.30 cr, Thursday 20.10 cr. Total: Rs 347.98 cr. Hindi. Here is his breakup of Jawan's regional numbers.

Jawan has already broken several records set by Shah Rukh Khan's previous release Pathaan, which is Bollywood's biggest film with Gadar 2 in second place. With just over a week in cinemas, Jawan has several more to go before it wraps its box office run. None of the next few releases – The Great Indian Family, Fukrey 3, and Mission Raniganj – are expected to dethrone Jawan; the challenger will arrive in November in the form of Salman Khan's third Tiger film.

Jawan, directed by Atlee, released on September 7 to coincide with the festival of Janmashtami. Shah Rukh Khan plays the double role of father and son with Nayanthara cast as the female lead and Vijay Sethupathi playing the antagonist. Deepika Padukone makes a memorable special appearance as does Sanjay Dutt. Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra, Lehar Khan, Ridhi Dogra and Sanjeeta Bhattacharya plays key roles.
