Hunger Games star JenniferLawrence will join Academy of Motion Picture Arts and SciencePresident Tom Sherak to announce the much-awaited nominationsfor this year's Oscar awards.
Sherak and Lawrence will unveil the nominations in 10 ofthe 24 categories at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater in BeverlyHills on January 24, the Academy said in a statement.
Nominations information for all categories will bedistributed simultaneously to news media in attendance and viathe Internet on the official Academy Awards website.
Lawrence was nominated for her gritty performance inWinter's Bone last year for the 83rd Academy awards.
The 21-year-old star has since filmed one of the mostanticipated movies of 2012, The Hunger Games, where sheplays Katniss Everdeen, a young girl forced to fight to thedeath in a televised gladiatorial combat.
Academy Awards for outstanding film achievements of 2011will be presented on Sunday, February 26, 2012, at the KodakTheatre with host Billy Crystal presiding.
