Jeremy Renners featured in the last Bourne film Bourne Legacy.
Los Angeles:
Actor Jeremy Renner will reprise his role as Aaron Cross in the fifth film in the Bourne franchise.
Universal Studios has shown a green signal to another movie in the spy thriller franchise, as they have hired screenwriter Anthony Peckham to pen a script for the movie, reports deadline.com.
The 42-year-old's first brush with the franchise came with the 2012 film The Bourne Legacy, in which he featured alongside Rachel Weisz.
Initially, Matt Damon played the key character Jason Bourne in three films of the franchise - The Bourne Identity (2002), The Bourne Supremacy (2004) and The Bourne Ultimatum (2007). But then, he stated that he wouldn't return to do another Bourne movie unless director Paul Greengrass, who helmed the 2004 and 2007 movies, also returned.
