New Delhi: The entire cast of the controversial reality TV series Jersey Shore is being sued by a woman who claims to have been assaulted by the show's security guards.
Using the initials JP, the claimant is accusing the show's security guards of throwing her on the ground while she was having a heated altercation with the show's star Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi, reported New York Post.
According to JP's attorney Eugene Lavergne, the claimant was injured in the attack, cutting her chin and getting a scar as a result.
This recent lawsuit names the cast, 495 Productions, MTV and Viacom as defendants.
The alleged incident took place last September on the same night that another cast member Ronnie was arrested for knocking a man unconscious. Snooki was arrested for drunk and disorderly behaviour last month, and the guidos and guidettes of Jersey Shore have had plenty of brushes with authority.
Just two weeks after Snooki was arrested, her cast mate Ronnie Ortiz was arrested for unpaid parking tickets. Ortiz, 24, was taken into custody in an unmarked police car for the traffic offences and taken to the police station before being released.
Snooki and castmate Jenny Farley are also being sued by a Chicago woman for allegedly assaulting her at a Miami nightclub in May.
Carrie Malec has accused the two girls of assaulting her on the dance floor at Tanta nightclub, after Malec approached the show's male cast members.
Malec is seeking US$ 75,000 in damages and insists MTV and Viacom are "profiting from criminal activity of its employees" on the show.
