A-Team star Jessica Biel has lost two coveted roles to Anne Hathaway and says she tried and failed to land the parts of Catwoman in the new Batman filmand Fantine in the upcoming movie adaptation of LesMiserables.
Biel says she jumped at the chance to audition for aleading role The Dark Knight Rises, but she was left licking her wounds when director Christopher Nolan handed the role to Hathaway, reported Elle magazine.
"(That was) another one that got away. I was gutted. Imean, to work with Christopher Nolan in that kind of a role," she said.
Biel then set her sights on landing the part of prostitute Fantine in filmmaker Tom Hooper's retelling of theclassic Victor Hugo story, but says she never got the better of Hathaway.
"I felt terrified when I auditioned for Les Miserables, the movie that Tom Hooper is doing. I was terrified to sing in front of him. I auditioned for Fantine and I sang I Dreamed a Dream. I didn't get it. And I would have loved it," she added.
Hathaway signed on for Les Miserables last month, joining Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe and Helena Bonham Carter in the ambitious new film.
Biel also said that she also missed out on the romanticlead in The Notebook to Rachel McAdams.
