Jessica Simpson has reportedly sold the first pictures of her newborn daughter for $800,000.
The singer-and-actress - who gave birth to Maxwell Drew on May 1 - and fiance Eric Johnson are said to have agreed a deal with People magazine to show off their little girl to the world.
People magazine are famed for paying huge amounts of money to celebrities to pose with their new babies and in February 2008, the publication reportedly splashed out $6 million on snaps of Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony's twins, Max and Emme.
And just a few months later, they are said to have paid Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie $11 million for an exclusive peek at their twins, Knox and Vivienne, although the proceeds were given to charity.
Since becoming a mother, Jessica says her life has changed for the better and she is smitten with her adorable daughter.
She tweeted: "I am so in love with baby Maxwell. I want to cry every time I look at her. Motherhood is by far the best thing I've ever experienced."
In a statement on her official website following the arrival of 9lbs 13oz Maxwell, Jessica wrote: "We are so grateful for all of the love, support and prayers we have received. This has been the greatest experience of our lives!!"
