Jiah Khan Death: Mother Meets Mumbai Police Commissioner
Rabia claims Jiah did not commit suicide and was murdered
New Delhi: Actress Jiah Khan's family yesterday met Mumbai Police Commissioner Rakesh Maria in connection with the Special Investigation Team they claim has been formed to probe the 25-year-old's death. (Also read: Jiah Khan death: mother conducts sting operation)

Differences have allegedly emerged over who is to head the team.

Jiah's mother Rabia Khan earlier moved the Bombay High Court alleging that the death of her daughter be treated as a murder and not a suicide and demanding a Special Investigation Team to probe the case. The Bombay High Court directed her to meet the police commissioner.

The family has been demanding that the matter should be investigated by CBI. Rabia's lawyer had claimed that they had "recorded conversations of the witnesses" and the result indicated that it was not a case of "suicide".

Jiah was found hanging in her Juhu flat late on June 3, 2013. An FIR was registered against Suraj, son of actors Aditya Pancholi and Zareena Wahab, on charges of abetment.

The High Court granted him bail after he had spent some weeks in jail.
