Masaba Gupta is in a state of grief after the sudden death of actress Nafisa alias Jiah Khan, as the young designer had plans to design for the late actress soon.

"God bless you. We will meet in another life until then stay blessed. Spoke to Jiah two months back and I promised I would dress her soon. I don't know what it was that was more important than her life. RIP," tweeted Masaba, who, has also been the creative head of brand Satya Paul.

Jiah, who debuted in Bollywood opposite megastar Amitabh Bachchan in Nishabd, committed suicide at her residence in Mumbai, the police said. She was 25.

The Britain-born actress was found hanging at her flat in Sagar Sangeet building in the Juhu area of northwest Mumbai around midnight. The cause of the suicide is not yet clear, police said, adding that autopsy reports were awaited.

News of her death was first reported by actress Dia Mirza through a social networking site around 1.45 a.m. The body of the actress was taken to the Cooper Hospital in Vile Parle on Monday night and later shifted to J.J. Hospital in Byculla.
