Highlights

  • Actor Jimmy Shergill is on a weight loss programme to look like a 21-year-old villager in Tigmanshu Dhulia's next film Valmiki Ki Bandook.
  • Apparently Tigmanshu, who is the creative producer of the film, had been looking for someone to play an innocent-looking 21-year-old villager for quite sometime now and is glad that his casting search is done.
  • "After working with Jimmy in four films, I know his potential as an actor. I was surprised to see him looking so lean and young. And given his commitment, he’ll do what it takes to justify the role. Since it is a performance-driven role, I know he would fit the bill perfectly too," he said.
  • On the other hand, Jimmy Shergill is currently in the process of shedding extra kilos by hiring a dietician and a personal trainer.
  • His workout regime starts early in the morning everyday and goes on for two hours in spite of his recurring neck and spine problem.
  • Reports also suggest that the project will be filmed at similar locations where Tigmanshu’s previous film Paan Singh Tomar was shot.
