The film will trace the 45-year-old British writer'sjourney from a single mother receiving state benefits tobecoming an author worth an estimated USD 804 millionfollowing the worldwide success of the wizard franchise,reported Mirror online.
The lead role will be played by American actress PoppyMontgomery, famous for playing FBI agent Samantha Spade in USTV series 'Without a Trace'.
Entitled 'Strange Magic', the straight-to-TV moviewill also feature details of Rowling's early life in theBritish West Country and the idea behind the successful 'HarryPotter' series following her train journey from Manchester toLondon.
