JenniferLopez has reportedly turned down an offer to judge SimonCowell's US version of the talent show X Factor.
The 'Waiting for Tonight' hitmaker was reportedlyapproached by the music mogul shortly after she had signed onto Simon Fuller's 'American Idol', reported a website. A source claimed that Cowell began "begging her toditch it and join the panel of US X Factor".
The 41-year-old star was "bowled over by Cowell'scharm offensive" and initially agreed to make the switch,however, Lopez later changed her mind after Fuller personallyflew to the US to speak with her.
"Jennifer was perfectly happy with Idol, for which sheearns USD 10 million, until Cowell lured her away with allsorts of ludicrous promises. Fuller flew in specially to havea quiet word with her in which he pointed out that he wouldn'tbe making the Latino project she is so keen on unless shestayed," said the source.
"Jennifer quickly saw sense and pulled out of US XFactor, which is why you've got this unseemly scramble forjudges going on as we speak."
The US version of the X Factor premieres later thisyear and it is expected that Pussycat Dolls star NicoleScherzinger will join Cowell on the judging panel, with CherylCole also likely to sign up.
