New Delhi: Actor and producer John Abraham, who was last seen in the movie I, Me Aur Main, spoke about the little-discussed subject of Bollywood's black money at NDTV Profit's Business Leadership Awards.
"I can go on record and say I don't deal in black money. I probably come from a very honest family. I choose not to get into a situation in which I'd have to deal with it," said the producer of the National Award-winning film Vicky Donor.
The actor further said that Bollywood needs to generate genuine content. "The only thing I would like to change about Bollywood is its name. I think Bollywood is very subservient with Hollywood. I think we need to be called The Indian Film Industry and we need to create content that is genuine and original. If you want to rip off something from somewhere, please pay them for it," John added.
John Abraham, who received the Creative Entrepreneur of the Year award from Montek Singh Ahluwalia, Deputy Chairman of the Planning Commission, also treated the gathering of business leaders to an impromptu dance performance to the song Rum Whisky from Vicky Donor.
John Abraham will next be seen in the movie Shootout At Wadala, which is directed by Sanjay Gupta.
