John Abraham was last seen in the film I, Me Aur Main.
Mumbai: John Abraham says as a producer hechooses to make commercially viable projects.

The 40-year-old, whose debut production Vicky Donorbecame hit, said his acting projects are however not based oncommercial reasons.

"I am an actor and there are two sides to me... Rightand left. The left side thinks as a producer and the rightside thinks as an actor. So when I think from right side youmake choices that are not based on commercial reasons. And Iam very clear about. And I don't have any problem about it,"John told PTI.

As an actor John would love a sequel to No Smokingbut will do the project when he sees it has a box officepotential.

"I would love to do a sequel to No Smoking. Mostpeople have expressed shock. But this is the actor side of methat thinks that way. I think it was a good film. I don't knowif it will translate into commercial success or not. Theproducer side of me will make sure whatever I do, I make itwork commercially."

John is hoping that his next film Madras Cafe willalso click well at the box office.

"If Vicky Donor worked, I know Madras Cafe willwork on sheer economics. As a producer I know that I haveselected a script that I am absolutely sure of," he said.

"When people walk out of the theatre they should saythis is from the makers of Vicky Donor. It should have thatimpact. If I cannot create that impact with my films orproduction house then there is a serious issue. I am sureMadras Cafe will do that for me," he said.

Vicky Donor not only went on to bag several filmawards but also won national award this year. But John doesnot let the pressure get on to him.

"In everybody's head it is like we have to betterourselves than Vicky Donor. But I don't take pressure. AfterMadras Cafe I have a film titled Hamara Bajaj. I ensureall my films are different... I think at the end each film hasits destiny," he said.

Hamara Bajaj will see Ayushmann Khurrana, ShoojitSircar and John teaming up again. The makers are looking outfor a new girl for the movie.

Madras Cafe is a thriller with Nargis Fakhri andhim. John will be seen next in Shootout at Wadala, Dostana2 and an action film with Abbas-Mustan.
