Bollywood actor John Abraham won't be jailed in a rash driving case, the Bombay High Court decided today.
The Bombay High Court said that Mr. Abraham should be given the benefit of the Probation of Offenders Act since this is his first offence.
The Court has ordered the actor to pay Rs 10,000 as compensation to the victims' families.
In 2010, Mr. Abraham was found guilty of rash driving and sentenced to 15 days of imprisonment. On March 9 this year, the Bombay High Court granted him bail after a sessions court upheld the 15 day sentence.
In 2006, John injured two pedestrians while riding his motorcycle in Mumbai's Khar Danda area. Mr. Abraham, had rushed the victims to the hospital and has attended all his court hearings.
