London:
Johnny Depp has missed out on the chance to be part of Martin Scorsese's first 3D movie Hugo because the producers just could not find time to add him.
Producer Graham King, who sent Depp the manuscript for the ambitious new movie before he even had a cast and the two old friends decided to work on the film together, said the actor did not have the time for the film, Daily Star reported.
"When I first got the manuscript of the book, I sent it to Johnny... He read it and loved it, and I said, 'Let's make this together.' There's a role that's not in the movie now that was in the script that he was going to play, a very small role. But we just didn't have the time to do it with the schedule. He was actually across the street shooting Pirates 4," King said.
