Judi Dench will turn 79 this December
London:
Veteran actress Judi Dench has no plans to retire for the next couple of years.
The 78-year-old actress, who will be a year older in December, said her film career has just kicked off and she still has plenty more worthwhile roles ahead of her, reported Contactmusic.
When asked about her turning 79 in December, she said, "Oh yes, but don't say that! That's an absolutely filthy thing to say. Don't say 'old', don't say 'retired'. I'm not even considering retiring."
The screen legend has recently undergone knee replacement surgery after she was struck down with chronic pain for several weeks earlier this year, but she is adamant that she is on the road to recovery.
"I am fully recovered now. I don't want to make a big thing out of it. I'm doing the physio, and that's all fine. It's an extraordinary thing, knee replacement. How do they even set about it?," she added.
