Hollywood actress Juliette Lewis was hospitalised last night after a car crash.
The Academy nominated star of movies like Cape Fear and Romeo Is Bleeding is now recovering at home, reported TMZ.
The 37-year-old actress was injured in a crash which happened in the Burbank area of Los Angeles.
"Juliette went to the hospital to be checked out and is a bit banged up and sore but otherwise thankfully okay. She is now resting at home," her spokesperson told TMZ.
She was being driven home from an event to promote herlatest movie Conviction, when another car crashed into her vehicle at a junction.
Law enforcement sources revealed the driver of the other car fled the scene.
Police are said to have later discovered the vehicle near the site of the crash, but the suspect is still at large. An investigation of the incident is underway.
