"I have friends who are in the business, and I have friends who are not in the business. It's good to have people who understand what you are going through, which applies to him. But it's also nice to have someone to talk to about real life, so it's good to have a balance of both . It's just nice to have someone who understands," said the 19-year-old 'Lovesong' singer.
Gomez also said that one of the best things about her relationship with Bieber is that they spend so much of their time together laughing.
"We laugh so hard. It's like when you laugh so hard your stomach hurts," she added.
