Filmmaker Kabir Khan said that he does not plan to work on the second instalment of Bajrangi Bhaijaan, as he does not believe in making sequels.
Bajrangi Bhaijaan featured Salman Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Harshaali Malhotra. This is Kabir's second film with Salman after 2012's Ek Tha Tiger.
When Kabir was asked whether he plans to make a sequel to Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Kabir said, "No. Bajrangi Bhaijaan sequel is not happening. I never make sequels to any of my films. But if the script of a film really excites me, then never say never," said Kabir.
"Some characters become iconic. Bajrangi is an iconic character. So is Chand Nawab (played by Nawazuddin Siddiqui). So let's see. But sequels don't excite me. I don't believe in sequels," added Kabir.(Also Read: Salman Khan's Bajrangi Bhaijaan Gets Standing Ovation in Busan)
Kabir also said that he is working on his next film but refrained from revealing details.
"I am still working on it, discussing ideas and scripts. So, I am yet to take a final call on the casting," said Kabir.
