Kajal Aggarwal has started 2025 on a “divine note”. Don't believe us? Then head straight to her Instagram timeline. The actress has shared her first look as Parvathi Devi from the upcoming film Kannappa

In the picture, Kajal Aggarwal exudes absolute goddess energy. She is draped in an ivory and gold-bordered saree. Heavy jewellery seals her avatar. The tagline on the photo reads, “Mother who rules over the three worlds! The Trishakti who protects her devotees! In the sacred Sri Kalahasti shrine resides the holy Jana Prasunambika!"

Kajal Aggarwal captioned the post, “A dream role indeed! Happy to be starting 2025 on this divine note.”

Kannappa, directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh, revolves around legendary warrior Kannappa — an ardent devotee of Lord Shiva. The film is produced by Vishnu Manchu under the banners of 24 Frames Factory and AVA Entertainment.

Vishnu Manchu plays the titular character in the movie with Prabhas, Mohanlal, R Sarathkumar, Mukesh Rishi, Mohan Babu, Preity Mukhundhan, Brahmanandam and Madhoo in key roles.

Oh, and, not to miss — Kannappa will mark Akshay Kumar's Telugu debut.

The makers, earlier, dropped a video on X (formerly Twitter) featuring Akshay Kumar receiving a warm welcome from Vishnu Manchu.

The side note read, “We're thrilled to have Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar onboard for Kannappa, Vishnu Manchu's magnum opus.

With Akshay Kumar joining us, our production promises to reach unprecedented heights of grandeur and excitement. Stay tuned for an unforgettable cinematic experience!” Take a look:

Last year, Kannappa's teaser was showcased at the Cannes Film Festival. And guess what? The film received an “overwhelmingly positive response”.

Filled with gratitude, Vishnu Manchu penned a heartfelt note on X. Here's an excerpt: “I am excited and have butterflies in my stomach after witnessing such fantastic reactions.” Check out the full note below:

Kannappa will open in the theatres on April 25. The film will be available in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Hindi and English.
