Ajay Devgn finally put all rumours to rest stating that Kajol didn't receive an invite for the event.
New Delhi:
Kajol's absence at the premiere of Jab Tak Hai Jaan didn't go unnoticed by the press and public but now husband Ajay Devgn says that Kajol didn't receive an invite to the event.
"Talking about Kajol not attending Jab Tak Hai Jaan premiere, I just have to say that it's not her fault, she wasn't invited," Ajay Devgn said.
There were rumours about Kajol making a quiet entry at the premiere avoiding the assembled media, but clearly she didn't.
Kajol, once good friends with Jab Tak Hai Jaan star Shah Rukh Khan and star of Yash Raj Films' Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge and Fanaa, has been caught in the crossfire between YRF and her husband's production company.
Ajay Devgn accused Yash Raj Films of using their influence to keep his film Son Of Sardaar out of theatres in favour of Jab Tak Hai Jaan. Both films released on November 13.
The box office clash does not seem to have affected Ajay Devgn as Son Of Sardaar has already collected approximately Rs 76 crore at the box office in just eight days.
"I had confidence in my product and I had faith in right and wrong. I knew I was right. I knew that eventually I will get what I deserve," said Ajay Devgn.
The actor said, "The collections have been extraordinary and they are extraordinary in the weekdays. The second week is also going to be fabulous with 300 more screens. I am thrilled."
With all the good news coming his way, Ajay Devgn certainly has enough reason to throw a success party for the cast of Son Of Sardaar next week. And that's one party we're sure Kajol isn't going to have trouble getting an invite to.
