Chennai: Actor-filmmaker Kamal Haasan recently participated in Neengalum Vellalam Oru Kodi (NVOK), Tamil version of Kaun Banega Crorepati. He left the show's producer Siddhartha Basu stunned, said sources from the sets.
"Kamal sir answered most questions effortlessly, and the confidence with which he faced each question even made Siddhartha Basu say that he would make a great quiz master," a source who was present on the sets, said.
Kamal Haasan, who pocketed Rs 50 lakh from the show with partner Gauthami, decided to donate the prize money to Petral Than Pillaya, a non-profit organisation for cancer patients.
In the first season of the show, hosted by actor Suriya, Kamal made his present felt through a phone call. His daughter Shruti Haasan, who participated in the show sought his help over a question.
The current season is being hosted by actor Prakash Raj. The special episode featuring Kamal Haasan will be aired on one of regional channels soon.
