South superstar Kamal Haasan has one special skill set to showcase apart from acting. The actor-turned-politician recently showcased his prowess in Silambam, a popular martial arts form in Tamil Nadu. His actress-daughter, Shruti Haasan shared a video of this act on her Instagram and wrote "I always love my dad. Today I love him extra." Mr Haasan enthralled fans with this traditional performance in Coimbatore during the poll campaign for the upcoming Assembly Elections in the state of Tamil Nadu. The video of him using the long cane stick flawlessly has gone viral on social media platforms.
The Padma Bhushan awardee has now shifted his focus from films to politics. Founder of political party Makkal Needhi Maiam (MNM), Mr Haasan has filed nomination from Coimbatore South constituency for the elections that will take place on April 6. The results will be announced on May 2.
Shruti has been spending time with her father during the poll campaign. She recently posted some snaps with her dad calling him "Daddy dearest."
Speaking of Kamal Haasan's pending movies, he has two of them lined up. The 66-year-old actor had started shooting for his film, Indian 2, which is now on hold for an indefinite period. Last year, a major mishap had occurred on the sets which led to the death of 3 crew members. Apart from this outing, he will also be seen in the Lokesh Kanagaraj directed gangster drama, Vikram.
