New Delhi:
Veteran designer Suneet Verma will showcase a collection inspired from the Kamasutra at the upcoming Delhi Couture Week (DCW).
The Kamasutra, possibly the most celebrated Hindu text in the world, has inspired many art forms, Verma said.
"Hinting seduction with every glimpse of an ankle, adorned by a delicate pajeb, the various interpretations of Kamasutra have inspired me to create a sexy, translucent, sheer collection," said Verma.
The designer will explore the sensitivity and detail that envelops this art of lovemaking, through the canvas of cutwork. Hues like fuchsia, navy, ivory, black, silver and golden will be seen on modern yet traditional garments.
"The collection will be a mix of femininity and sensuality with a touch of opulence and my signature style. I won't reveal much details as I would like to keep the whole thing as a surprise for the end," said the designer.
The second edition of DCW is scheduled from July 22 to July 25 and Verma will showcase his collection on the second day.
