Kangana Ranaut, who is known for herpetite and slim look is on a weight gaining spree these days.
The actress, who will be seen as Tanu in her firstrelease of the year, Tanu Weds Manu opposite Madhavan forthe first time, plays a small town girl in the movie.
Accidentally, during the shooting of the film in April,Kangana fractured her leg and was on complete bed rest for fewweeks and as a result, she started putting on a lot of weight.She was a bit reluctant to start shooting again since she wasseven kilograms heavier. But to her surprise, film directorAnand Rai recommended Kanaga to shoot with the extra kilos.
She went ahead and in the process, for her film NoProblem she shed the extra kilos, sources said.
Now the real challenge is that the makers now wantKangana to regain those 7 kgs, so as to start the promotion ofthe film, which is due to release on February 25.
They want Kangana to promote the film as Tanu, hercharacter in the film and not as Kangana in real life.
Says Director Anand Rai, "Kangana had put on weightduring the shooting of the film and now that we are startingthe promotions, I would like her to put on weight for hercharacter. Its important that people identify with hercharacter as it is."
