National award-winning actress Kangana Ranaut said that despite being a love story, Katti Batti unfolds like a thriller that would raise the curiosity of the audience.
As part of the film's promotion, Kangana and actor Imran Khan visited a radio station and interacted with the media.
"From the promos, what people are feeling is obviously that it is a modern love story. But it's much more than that. If you see the film, it unfolds like a thriller though it is basically a love story," Kangana said.
"Girls and boys are always meeting and falling in love, but the difference is that this girl has suddenly disappeared, and the mystery about who is she and where has she disappeared unfolds during the course of the film," she added.

The aspect that people actually love about the film is the innovative manner of narrating the love story. As far as the songs are concerned, Sarfira has already become popular and we have received good response for the film till now," said Kangana. The story traces the journey of Maddy and Payal featuring their love, live-in relationship and separation over a period of time.
Directed by Nikhil Advani, the film is scheduled to release on September 18.
