New Delhi:
The ongoing Hrithik Roshan vs Kangana Ranaut row has obliged another celebrity to speak up. Farhan Akhtar, who has co-starred with Hrithik in 2011 drama Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, wrote a lengthy post on Facebook, presenting the public feud between the two warring celebs as a case to highlight the need for eradicating gender bias. For those joining camp Kangana, Farhan wrote: "They've accepted her story at face value. Isn't this discriminating against the other party? For a moment, let's put aside emotion, prejudice, biases, our understandably protective instincts and look at the facts as they exist today." Farhan signed off his post, citing the reason behind why he jumped into his former co-star's defence, adding that Kangana's many allegations are "in terrible taste."
In a detailed analysis of what has gone down into the Hrithik-Kangana feud so far, Farhan made references to some 3,000 e-mails Kangana denies to have sent Hrithik. "Apparently, he has over a thousand emails from her official email account which are intimate and sexual in their content. She claims not to have written them but alleges that he hacked her account and mailed himself. If they were in a 7 year long mutually agreeable relationship, why would he need to do that?" read Farhan's post.
Farhan also wrote about the viral photo of the two stars from a party, which Hrithik claims is photoshopped. "She posted a picture of them together claiming it was taken during the years of their alleged affair. That picture was proved, beyond doubt, to have been manipulated. The actual image consisted of a group of friends including the man's wife (now ex-wife) standing together in a party. Why were the others intentionally cropped out?" Hrithik Roshan and Sussanne Khan divorced in 2014 but continue to remain in touch.
"The reason I felt the need to say this is that it is apparent that some people have already jumped to conclusions while some are deriving some sort of voyeuristic pleasure by encouraging the woman to carry on speaking. This is being done without a seconds pause to consider the effect her words will have on the person, his family or his children. As great as all of it may be for TRP, it's in terrible taste," is how Farhan rounded off his post.

This is what Karan Johar tweeted about Farhan's post:
It was only last week when Hrithik Roshan addressed the controversy for the first time, releasing a statement in which he speaks about being "harassed for 4 years". She also claims to have never met Kangana Ranaut, his co-star of Kites and Krrish 3, privately. Kangana rekindled the controversial feud with Hrithik during the promotions of her film Simran last month. In interviews to several TV channels, she asked Hrithik and his father, filmmaker Rakesh Roshan to apologise, saying Hrithik has been avoiding her.
Last week, a copy of a 29-page complaint filed by Hrithik Roshan went viral on social media, which was followed by the Roshans speaking up. This was countered in tweets posted by Kangana's sister Rangoli Chandel, who has incessantly been hurling accusations at Hrithik and recently accused the actor of releasing nude photos of Kangana. She also shared a screenshot of an e-mail that Hrithik allegedly sent to Kangana in 2014.
Farhan Akhtar is not the only celebrity to have tweeted in support of Hrithik Roshan. Stars like Twinkle Khanna, Dia Mirza and Kunal Kapoor also defended Hrithik Roshan in tweets shared earlier.
