New Delhi:
Kangana Ranaut's Queen is ruling the box office third week in a row, having made over Rs 45 crores so far, leaving other films like Sonam Kapoor's Bewakoofiyaan and Madhuri Dixit's Gulaab Gang trailing in its wake.
A tweet from trade analyst Taran Adarsh today read," Queen [Week 3] Fri 1.35 cr, Sat 2.50 cr, Sun 3 cr. Grand total: Rs 46.85 cr nett. India biz. Fantastic!"
Queen's third weekend figures - just under Rs 7 crores - are among this year's best. In comparison, Salman Khan's Jai Ho made a little over Rs 2 crores and Priyanka Chopra's Gunday a little under in their respective third weekends.
Queen, which released on March 7, stars Kangana as the eponymous heroine, a jilted bride who goes on her honeymoon alone, finding herself in the process. Directed by Vikas Bahl, the film also features Rajkummar Rao and Lisa Haydon.
