Kangana Ranaut and Hrithik Roshan in a still from Krrish 3.
New Delhi:
If indeed they are exes, actors Hrithik Roshan and Kangana Ranaut seem struggling to find a new equilibrium. In the latest installment of their feud, Ms Ranaut has asked the police to stop Mr Roshan from using emails and photographs of her to "impute unchastity" to her. Ms Ranaut's lawyer also states that she is considering filing a criminal case against her former co-star.
Mr Roshan and Ms Ranaut have very different versions of their association. She says they dated during the making of Krrish 3, which they acted in together. He says that it is a figment of her imagination. In legal notices, they have swapped recriminations. She says he is trying to deny the relationship because of its timing - Mr Roshan was not yet divorced from Sussanne Khan. He says that in comments like "silly exes," she alluded to him to milk publicity.
What could have been a garden-variety he-said-she-said tabloid-friendly narrative has been given some weight by Mr Roshan demanding that the police identify and punish an online impersonator. The cyber-crime branch of the Mumbai police is following up on that complaint. Mr Roshan says it was the imposter, not him, who communicated extensively with Ms Ranaut. She says that's a lame attempt at a cover-up and that the email account that he pins on his imposter was in fact created by him so that he could write to her from an address that was not identifiable as his because he was still married. The police has said that it is treating Ms Ranaut's laptop and cellphone as crucial evidence. (Also Read: Hrithik Roshan-Kangana Ranaut Controversy: The Case of the Missing Laptop)
In a happier story of supposed exes, cricket typhoon Virat Kohli and actor Anushka Sharma were photographed at dinner together last night. (Also Read: The Ex Factor? Anushka, Virat Spotted at Dinner After Rumoured Split)
