Bangalore: Veteran Kannada theatre and film actor CR Simha, who died of cancer in Bangalore on Friday, is being given a state funeral in Bangalore today. He was 71 years old.
Channapatna Ramaswamy Simha was a versatile artist who acted from his childhood. His fame increased after his role as Tughlak in Girish Karnad's play of the same name.
Mr Simha had received the Sangeet Natak Akademi award and the state Rajyotsava award.
Mr Simha's younger brother is popular Kannada film star Srinath.
