Kannada actor Shivraj Kumar was on Tuesday rushed to a private hospital here after he complained of chest pain, a source said.
Shivanna, as he's fondly called by fans, was working out in the gym when he collapsed. He is 54.
"The gym manager informed Shivraj Kumar's wife Geetha, who immediately rushed him to Columbus Hospital here. The doctors reported that he may have suffered a mild heart attack," a source told news agency IANS.
"Initial reports revealed that he has two blockages in the artery, and they're considering performing angioplasty," he added. He was later shifted to Mallya Hospital.
The actor will be kept under observation in the hospital for the next two days. Shivraj Kumar, who is the son of legendary Kannada actor Rajkumar, has been shooting for Ram Gopal Varma's bilingual film Killing Veerappan.
