Rapper Kanye West hasinvited the wrath of his fans again with his latest twitterrant against pop star Britney Spears.
Spears' single Hold It Against Me reached the top onthe charts, pushing West's song H.A.M (featuring Jay-Z)" toNo 2 and the rapper is not very happy about it.
The 33-year-old, known for his embarrassing publicoutbursts, took to his twitter to rant about his song beingthe best, Us magazine reported.
"Yo Britney, I'm really happy for you and I'mma letyou be #1, but me and Jay-Z's single is one of the best songsof all time! LOL (sic)," he wrote.
Though West later removed the tweet, that didn't stopSpears' manager Adam Leber from issuing a response on thesinger's behalf.
"Thanks for 'letting' us be #1. Much appreciated,"Leber said.
West later apologised, telling his followers, "On aserious note I'm truly happy for Avril Lavigne and BritneySpears. No hate in 2011...I thought LOL signified a joke." This isn't the first time that West has locked hornswith fellow celebrities. In 2009, West jumped onstage withTaylor Swift while she was accepting her award for the BestFemale Video. West was unhappy that the award did not go toBeyonce. He later apologised for his boorish act but hisimage suffered a major blow.
He had had a similar meltdown during the 2007 MTVawards when Spears replaced him as the show's openingperformer.
