Karan Johar with one of his kids outside a hospital in Mumbai
New Delhi:
Filmmaker Karan Johar, who became a father last February to twins Yash and Roohi, has opened a creche at his Andheri office for his kids, reports mid-day. KJo, the boss of Dharma Productions, has taken this step to spend more time with Yash and Roohi. Also, the employees of the production house can also leave their children at the creche. "Yash and Roohi are already eight-months-old. I don't get enough time to see them during the day. So, I have a spacious room for them here (in my office). They will feel like they're coming to a special place," Karan Johar, 45, told mid-day. "Anybody (employees) who has a kid is welcome to bring him/her here," he added.

This is how they spent their first Diwali and Raksha Bandhan.
The creche has been created in a room that can host 15 babies at one time and the kids will be under supervision. Children below the age of three cannot be kept in the creche as of now. "Both, mothers and fathers can bring their babies to the creche while they work. There is a child care expert present at all times. There are different toys available," a source told mid-day. "The company is looking out for nannies who can take care of the older kids," the source added.
Yash and Roohi were born via surrogacy on February 7. Due to their premature birth, they were hospitalised for about two months. Karan Johar brought them home later in March. Roohi is a rearrangement of Karan Johar's mother's name Hiroo while Yash has been named after his late father, filmmaker Yash Johar.
Gauri Khan had designed the nursery of Yash and Roohi.
Karan Johar earlier revealed his parenthood plans to news agency IANS and said, "I am playing both mother and father in this dynamic, so I have a double role to play and for me, it's even more daunting. I have told myself that I am not going to be a hysterical, hyper parent." He also plans to make a film which would relate to his 'excitement' of having the kids. "It's not that I will make parental film but there would be layers in my next film that would actually explicitly portray my humongous level of excitement for having Yash and Roohi," said.
