Mumbai: Karan Johar is so impressed with director Anand Gandhi's "brilliant" work in Ship of Theseus that he now feels "inferior" as a filmmaker.

Johar, in fact, says he lacks the "talent and strength" to make such a film.

"It makes you feel very inferior as a filmmaker, it's that brilliant. It is such a film which I cannot make as I neither have the talent nor strength to make such a beautiful film," confessed Johar.

Actor Aamir Khan's wife Kiran Rao is releasing director Anand Gandhi's critically acclaimed directorial venture.

Heaping praises on Gandhi, Karan said it's a rare film that has made him "speechless".

"I haven't seen a film like this in last five-six years. It's a film for cinema lovers. It seems that director Anand Gandhi has taken a huge chunk of life and has made a film on it. He has made the film from his heart. You can't say much after watching the film. It makes you speechless," said the 41-year-old.

Having premiered at the 12th Toronto International Film Festival, the film explores various aspects of life through three different characters from different walks of life. It is releasing on July 19.

Initially, it will release only in five cities - Mumbai, Pune, Delhi, Bangalore and Kolkata.

For screening in other cities, the Ship of Theseus team is launching an online voting system. Audiences in various cities will be able to vote online and the city that gets the maximum votes will witness a screening of the film.
