Karan Johar to accompany Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to London Olympics
New Delhi: Karan Johar seems to have already hit a gold before any other sportsperson at the London Olympics.

According to reports, the filmmaker will accompany Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to the London Olympics. They are the only two Indians, who have received a special invitation for the opening ceremony of the gala event.

Reports also suggest that KJo will not only accompany the Prime Minister, but will also witness the event in a special box reserved only for special guest from around the world.

"When the invite came up, I knew it's a once-in-a-life-time opportunity, so I grabbed it almost immediately. Surely it gives me a great feeling. It will be exciting to witness such a breathtaking event from close quarters," Karan Johar was quoted as saying.

"Had you asked me a few days ago if I intended to go to London -- it's virtually my second home -- during the Olympics, I'd have said, 'No chance'. I've been shooting non-stop for my film Student Of The Year and the TV show that I'm judging. Life has been very hectic. When this invitation came through, I jumped at the opportunity. After all, it's a very prestigious event," the director told The Times of India newspaper.
