Los Angeles:
Reality TV star Kim Kardashian is going to police after learning that her stalker Dennis Shaun Bowman has been contacting her on Twitter, as well as sending messages to new boyfriend Miles Austin and sister Khloe.
Kardashian's lawyer Shawn Chapman Holley, who also represents Lindsay Lohan, told E! News that they believe Bowman's tweets could be a violation of the restraining order that Kardashian obtained against Bowman in February.
"I will be speaking with law enforcement detectives to determine whether or not Mr Bowman's actions are a violation of the order in place restricting Mr Bowman's conduct toward Ms Kardashian," Chapman Holley said.
"Law enforcement has been very involved in this matter from the start and we are speaking with the detective familiar with the case to determine appropriate next steps," she added. Sources close to Kardashian say she is "freaking out" at the developments.
The restraining order, in place until 2013, prohibits Bowman from trying to contact the Keeping up With the Kardashians star in any way including via Twitter.
According to court papers filed back in February, Bowman repeatedly turned up at Kardashian's personal appearances, sometimes in face paint depicting him as the
Joker character from Batman.
The filing also states that Bowman told Kardashian he was interested in a romantic relationship. "I am extremely frightened by Mr Bowman because he appears to be obsessed with me and is extremely delusional," Kim wrote in a declaration.
She sought the order after Bowman allegedly ignored cease-and-desist letters from her attorney along with orders from Los Angeles police to stop pursuing her.
