Kareena Kapoor and Taimur were visited by Karisma Kapoor and other family members

Bollywood royalty Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan welcomed a baby boy on December 20, who arrived in Mumbai's Breach Candy Hospital on Tuesday morning. Kareena and Saif have named their baby Taimur Ali Khan Pataudi and have been welcoming visitors since yesterday morning. Baby Taimur's first visitors were Kareena's sister, actress Karisma Kapoor, best friend Amrita Arora, Saif's sister Soha Ali Khan and Soha's husband Kunal Khemu. The new mother and baby were kept company on Tuesday by both the Kapoors and Pataudis - Karisma was spotted driving into the Breach Candy premise yesterday evening and so was Saif's mother Sharmila Tagore.
Karisma, who was also by the new parents on Tuesday morning paid, visit 2.0 and of course there are more to come. Kareena and Karisma's mother Babita met her grandson in the evening. Aunt Reema Jain also arrived to welcome the new member into the family.

Soha also shared an update about the mother and baby on Twitter yesterday. She wrote: "Delighted to welcome Taimur Ali Khan Pataudi into the world. Both mother and son are healthy and doing well. Father is doing extremely well."
Kareena Kapoor, 36, and Saif Ali Khan, 46, have featured together in films like Omkara, Kurbaan and Agent Vinod. They met and fell in love on the sets of 2008 film Tashan. They dated for four years before getting married in 2012.
Kareena Kapoor played a small but pivotal role in drug drama Udta Punjab and will resume shooting for wedding drama Veere Di Wedding, co-starring Sonam and Swara Bhaskar. Kareena made headlines when she was cast in the film - actresses have earlier been dropped from movies after announcing their pregnancies, notably Aishwarya Rai Bachchan who was replaced by Kareena in Madhur Bhandarkar's Heroine. Saif Ali Khan's last film was 2015's Phantom and currently, he is prepping for director Vishal Bhardwaj's Rangoon, also starring Kangana Ranaut and Shahid Kapoor.

Karisma and Saif announced the arrival of the youngest member of the family with a statement which read: "We are very pleased to share with you all the wonderful news about the birth of our son: Taimur Ali Khan Pataudi, on the 20th of December 2016. We would like to thank the media for the understanding and support they have given us over the last 9 months, and of course especially our fans and well-wishers for their continued affection. Merry Christmas and a happy new year to you all."
