New Delhi:
Kareena Kapoor may have rescued Madhur Bhandarkar when he didn't have a Heroine, but now Bebo is the one to have walked out of a movie. (Read: Is that an engagement ring, Kareena?)
According to reports, Kareena Kapoor ditched Sanjay Leela Bhansali, who had cast her as the female lead in his upcoming movie Ram Leela.
When Kareena Kapoor stepped into Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's shoes by signing Heroine, she seemed to wear the controversy surrounding the film rather easily.
"Everyone knows I am a part of the film, I am a bit nervous but I am super excited because I think it is going to be a milestone in my career and the aim is to make it my career's best performance," she had then said.
Little did Kareena know that a few months down the line, she would be knee deep in controversy as well.
If reports are to believed, then Kareena has opted out of Mr Bhansali's film because of her upcoming wedding in October. Reports further suggest that Priyanka Chopra has already been roped in by the Black director. (Read: Kareena or Priyanka: Who will play Goddess Sati?)
But denying all reports Kareena said: "I am extremely ambitious and very career-oriented and my personal life has never come in the way of my career. My not doing this film has nothing to do with my wedding. Everyone knows Saif (Saif Ali Khan) and me have been together in a relationship for the last five years and such stories about me being replaced because I am getting married are floated by PR machineries on an overdrive! So people, just back off and let me focus on my work!"
But reports suggest that Bebo, who had agreed to shoot for 100 days, has walked out of the project due to date and fees issues.
Ram Leela, which is believed to be an adaptation of Shakespeare's Romeo Juliet has Ranveer Singh as the male lead.
