It was a “Marvel-lous” day for Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan. The couple joined the cast of Marvel's Wastelanders, the Hindi Audible Original podcast series. Along with them, Kareena's The Devotion of Suspect X co-star Jaideep Ahlawat, Masaba Gupta, Sharad Kelkar, Ashish Vidhyarthi, Vrajesh Hirjee, Mithila Palkar, Prajakta Koli and Yashaswini Dayama have also been cast in to voice the superheroes and supervillains. Kareena Kapoor, on Friday evening, posted snippets from the event and wrote: “Such a Marvel-lous day indeed.” As per a report by The Hindu, the actress will lend her voice to the character of Black Widow whereas Saif Ali Khan has been roped in to be the voice of Star-Lord Peter Quill. In the first instalment of the series, Black Widow, Star-Lord, Hawkeye (Jaideep Ahlawat), Wolverine (Sharad Kelkar) and Doctor Doom (Ashish Vidyarthi) will team up to save the world, as per the publication.

Marvel's Wastelanders, an exclusive podcast launched by Marvel in 2021, is set in a post-apocalyptic future where the supervillains have killed almost all superheroes and have been in power for more than 30 years. It was a hit and revolved around the remaining superheroes' fight to regain order.
The roles of other superheroes/supervillains will be voiced by Masaba Gupta (Lisa Cartwright), Prajakta Koli (Ash), Mithila Palkar (Sophia), Yashashwini Damaya (Valeria Richards), Vrajesh Hirjee (Rocket), Sushant Divgikr (Cora), Anangsha Biswas (The Collector), Maninee De (Emma Frost) and Harjeet Walia (Kraven the Hunter), reported The Hindu.
The first part of the six-season series is set to release on June 28. It will start with Marvel's Wastelanders: Star-Lord, followed by Hawkeye, Black Widow, Wolverine, Doom and the last one - Marvel's Wastelanders.
The official Twitter page of Audible India also announced the Hindi series, while tagging the star cast. “Evil is rising. The Super Villains look invincible. Will the mightiest Super Heroes of Earth be able to save humanity from doom? Listen to ‘Marvel's Wastelanders, A Hindi Audible Original series', starting June 28,” read their tweet.
In a separate tweet, Audible India wrote about the storyline of the series. “An act of ultimate evil is at the gates and the last remaining heroes who can stop it are bruised, beaten, and weathered. Will they answer the call to save humanity? Marvel's Wastelanders, A Hindi Audible Original series starting June 28 with the story of Star-Lord,” it read.
Kareena Kapoor, who was last seen in Laal Singh Chaddha, also has a film with Hansal Mehta lined up. Rhea Kapoor's The Crew will see Kareena sharing the screen space with Tabu and Kriti Sanon.
