Both Priyanka and Kareena are reportedly in the running to play the female lead in Mohenjo-Daro
New Delhi:
Director Ashutosh Gowariker is returning to what he does best - making period pieces - after two career blips named What's Your Rashee? and Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey. The maker of Lagaan and Jodhaa Akbar has has signed Hrithik Roshan, who played his Akbar, in his next film Mohenjo-Daro.
However, the position of leading lady is still up for grabs and reports suggest that it will be either Kareena Kapoor or Priyanka Chopra who will play the part. Ashutosh will definitely be checking their history with Hrithik onscreen.
Priyanka has delivered three hits with Hrithik in the recent past - two Krrish movies and Agneepath - while Kareena has more films with Hrithik on her resume but no hits apart from Kabhie Khushi Kabhie Gum (2001). Kareena and Hrithik haven't worked together since 2003's Main Prem Ki Diwani.
Priyanka was also Ashutosh's heroine in What's Your Rashee? Will that give her an edge over Kareena or will Mohenjo-Daro finally see the long-delayed and much-awaited Hrithik-Kareena collaboration?
