If you wistfully longed for Jab We Met's Geet to make a comeback to the silver screen, you may perhaps be happy with the first look of actress Kareena Kapoor's character in her upcoming film Udta Punjab.
Beautiful in a simple pink salwar kameez, Kareena, who looks every bit the traditional Punjabi countryside belle, bears an uncanny resemblance to her Jab We Met character as she rides pillion with Punjabi singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh, the film's leading man.
Directed by Abhishek Chaubey, Udta Punjab also stars Highway actress Alia Bhatt and Kareena's Jab We Met hero Shahid Kapoor. Shahid and Kareena used to date but Udta Punjab is no reunion of ex-flames as the actors reportedly have no scenes together.
Produced by Anurag Kashyap's Phantom Films, Udta Punjab is reportedly based on the drug trafficking in the state.
