Karisma Kapoor's No 1 Take On The "That's Not My Name" Trend

Karisma Kapoor and her admirable body of work in Hindi films need no introduction. The actress, who has been a darling of the masses since her debut film, is known for her versatility and acting chops. Making fans nostalgic by taking them through some of her most successful roles, Karisma Kapoor has now joined the “That's Not My Name” trend on Instagram with aplomb. The trend uses the hit The Ting Tings song and features several Bollywood and Hollywood actors showing off the many “names” – courtesy of their onscreen roles – they've been called throughout their careers. Sharing the video, Karisma Kapoor wrote, “Nah.. that's not my name.”

The video begins with Karisma Kapoor standing at her mirror applying lipstick, while the words, “My name is Karisma. But sometimes they call me…” pop up on the screen. This is followed by the clips of her most renowned characters such as Zubeidaa from Zubeidaa, Nisha from Dil Toh Paagal Hai, Pooja from Biwi No.1, Fiza from Fiza, Aarti from Raja Hindustani, Sapna from Hum Saath Saath Hain,  among others, flashing on the screen. She also ended the clip by acknowledging her roles as a mom and a multitasker.

Replying to the post, Tamannaah Bhatia said, "You are just pure inspiration.” Rhea Kapoor said, “Iconic.”

Amrita Arora and Dia Mirza replied with heart emojis.

A few days ago, Karisma Kapoor made the Internet a happier place by sharing a picture of herself. Dressed in a casual avatar and flaunting her abs, Karisma Kapoor said, “Grow through what you go through.” Replying to the post, Amrita Arora said, “I see abs.”

In another picture, Karisma Kapoor turned advocate for self-care as she posed for a goofy photo in a sweatshirt. In the caption, she said, “Who's joining my Self Care Club?”
