On Karva Chauth, married women fast for an entire day to pray for long life of their husbands. Well, that's now how it works, says Twinkle.

Twinkle is the author of two books - Mrs Funnybones (which also doubles up as the name of her social media handles) and The Legend of Lakshmi Prasad. At the launch of her first novel in 2015, this is how she drew an ironic connection between Karva Chauth and the moon: "Mrs. Funnybones is about how modern woman looks in India and how India looks back at her. We live in a world where we have sent a satellite to Mars, but we are looking at the moon and praying for our husband's long life."

Twinkle Khanna is married to actor Akshay Kumar. The couple are parents to two children - Nitara, 5, and Aarav, 15.
