Kate Middleton and Prince William are "very pleased" to announce that they are expecting their second child, Kensington Palace said today.
A tweet from Clarence House said:
The Queen and members of both families are delighted with the news that Their Royal Highnesses are expecting their second child

Kate's pregnancy has been announced amid a slew of miscarriage rumours. Clarence House also said she is being treated for severe morning sickness, from which she suffered during her first pregnancy.
Prince William's grandmother Queen Elizabeth II is said to be "delighted" at the news, which comes less than 14 months after the birth of the couple's first child, Prince George, who is heir to the throne.The new baby will be fourth in line to the throne. (Pics: Prince George to be a Big Brother)
Congratulations have begun pouring in for the couple. British Prime Minister David Cameron tweeted:
Many congratulations to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. I'm delighted by the happy news that they're expecting another baby.

Kate and William were married in April 2011 in a grand ceremony at Westminster Abbey.
