Filmmakers Kathryn Bigelow and Mark Boal are closing in the cast of their Osama Bin Laden movie, inspired by the story of Navy SEAL Team Six's take-downof the terrorist leader.
Joel Edgerton, Jessica Chastain, Edgar Ramirez, MarkStrong as well Chris Pratt and Jason Clarke are innegotiations to join the movie, which will shoot this year fora planned December 19 release.
The filmmakers are eyeing a February start date, said TheHollywood Reporter.
Columbia Pictures picked up US distribution rights to theproject in May 2011.
Bigelow and Boal, the duo behind the Oscar-winning filmThe Hurt Locker, had been working for some time on theproject in the context of the hunt for Bin Laden and wereeyeing a summer 2011 start when the terrorist's killing by ablack ops team changed the project.
Boal spent the latter part of the year incorporating thedevelopments into the script which caused a delay to theproject.
