New Delhi:
Katy Perry, who split from husband Russell Brand in December after just 14 months of marriage, wouldn't change anything that has happened in her life because she always learns valuable lessons whether the experiences are positive or negative.
Discussing why she happily shows her personal side in new documentary movie 'Part of Me 3D', she said: "I think that it was a lesson learned. And that's what's most valuable.
"People always ask me, 'What is it that you regret?' And I say, 'nothing, because I could not buy what I've learned.' And I apply those things to my life I learn. And hopefully, hopefully it helps me to be a better human in the future and make better choices."
Katy is now dating Florence + the Machine guitarist Rob Ackroyd and despite her split from Russell she says she will always be guided by love.
Speaking on Good Morning America, she said: "I'm going to let love lead the way, always. And I was born with this blind -- blind ambition, and it's kind of gotten me here to this point. And I think that I'll stick to it. So yes."
Despite her quirky pop image, Katy still considers herself a serious songwriter and knows she can also get back-to-basics with her music as she gets older.
Asked how she defines herself, she said: "Well, songwriter first and foremost. When I was 13, I asked for a guitar. And that's how I really started explaining my point of view. And it's kind of like my ammunition. And when I want to get a point across, it's better to write a song when you can sing along. I think at the end of it all, I will always have that to fall back on when I don't fit into my cupcake bra anymore. I will still fit behind my guitar."
